Jim Beck serves as President of SkyBridge Group. A seasoned bank executive and entrepreneur, he founded and built three successful banking companies during his career spanning four decades. His career-long focus on helping business owners achieve their financial objectives and his deep connections in the banking industry provide a unique advantage to SkyBridge clients.

Most recently, Jim was President and Chief Executive Officer of TrustAtlantic Financial Corporation, which he founded in 2007. He and his team grew TrustAtlantic to more than $446 million in total assets with five banking offices serving Raleigh, Cary and Greenville, North Carolina prior to being acquired by First Horizon National Corporation in 2015. After serving as the Chairman of the Triangle Market for the acquiring company until 2017, Beck retired from the bank to devote his energies to his strategic advisory business, J. Beck & Company.

Beck graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Zoology. Throughout his career, he has been active in leadership roles in various civic, charitable and professional organizations, including the Triangle United Way, the North Carolina Bankers Association, the N. C. State University College of Management, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and his church. He is a founding board member of the Daniel Center for Math and Science, a non-profit organization that provides enhanced STEM education for at-risk students. He also serves on the Board of Directors of CivaTech Oncology, a medical device company focused on several cancer applications.
